There are 3 patterns in this Set these were made for Eleanor Burns forty years log cabin quilt - that quilt is longer than it is wide so you need to use the pieces that are for the top on the top and the pieces for the sides on the sides...

If you are using this on a quilt that does not have scallops use either the top piece or the side piece and use a piano key from the edge down to this border to give you a really custom look.
